In TEXAS at age 19 can I go to the range and RENT a PISTOL for target practice?

I am 19 years old in Texas looking to get some target practice using a .22 (for starters) at the range and get experience before I start trying to handle other firearms and 9mm's (which I have handled). Renting a handgun is the only option that might be available for me to be able to practice. Now, I ask this with caution because state and federal laws coincide and every place is different, so I would appreciate someone well versed in Texas state and Federal laws answering when concerning this matter. No range websites I have been to spells this out or even lists who can and cannot rent/shoot at the range. Someone please enlighten me I would greatly appreciate it.
